Everyone always says they’re the best at Mario Kart, it’s now time to prove it! We will be hosting our first ever Mario Kart tournament on February 23rd on the GameCube version
of Mario Kart. There is a $15 entry fee due when you sign up for the tournament to reserve your spot. This entry fee will get you into the tournament, provide you with lunch and your first
beverage of the day. Each racer is guaranteed at least 8 races throughout the day.
The tournament itself will consist of an initial round robin and three different championship tournaments. The round robin will determine which of three final tournaments you will be
entered in and the seeding. Each of the three tournaments will have its own prize and trophy to correspond with its difficulty based on the round robin section.
Rules
The races will all be completed in 150cc with tracks being chosen completely at random. Each match up will consist of a best of three to advance/win the round robin matchup. All races will be a 1 on 1 vs. matchup. Characters will be chosen one at a time with a coin flip determining who will pick first. Any kart and character combinations are allowed. All in-game shortcuts are
allowed but any kind of glitching or cheating in the race will result in a forfeit of that race.
